PSAT/NMSQT


The PSAT/NMSQT is a standardized test sponsored by the College Board and The National Merit Scholarship Corporation that measures how well you've mastered certain academic skills you will need in College. Students generally take this test in Sophomore and Junior year of high school as a way to prepare for the SAT. In addition, taking the PSAT serves as an entry point to the National Merit Scholarship Competition.

It is never too early to prepare for the PSAT and SAT, and this College Board presentation can help you get started.

Practice, Practice, Practice!

Many people pay thousands of dollars to prepare for the PSAT/NMSQT. Luckily, there are numerous free resources at your disposition. Set aside time every week to practice and stay tune for information about free SAT prep programs.

  • Khan Academy is a great academic resource.
  • Khan Academy - One test to download. 
    •   When you receive your first PSAT/NMSQT scores you will be able to link your College Board account with a Khan Academy account for personalized practice for the SAT. You can visit the official practice site here.
